An attempt was made to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a golf club in Florida. A suspect armed with an AK-47 has been arrested. Authorities have confirmed that Trump is safe.
According to a Reuters report, Trump was playing golf on Sunday, September 15, when Secret Service agents noticed an individual extending a gun barrel through the golf club’s boundary fence. The agents fired at the suspect in response.
The FBI has stated that an investigation is underway and it appears to be an attempted assassination. Two months ago, there was another attempt on Trump's life in Pennsylvania, where a bullet grazed his ear. Following these incidents, Trump's security has been significantly increased.
