The news was confirmed by his nephew, Siggy Jackson, to PEOPLE. Tito Jackson died on September 15, 2024, from an apparent heart attack, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

In the months leading up to his death, Tito was actively performing with his brothers Jackie and Marlon Jackson as part of The Jacksons. Their recent tour included stops in Scotland, California, and England, with their last performance on September 8 in Surrey, England. Upcoming shows were scheduled for October 25 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and November 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Earlier this week, while in Munich, Germany, Tito and his brothers visited a memorial dedicated to their late brother, Michael Jackson. Tito expressed his gratitude for the tribute on Facebook, acknowledging the enduring legacy of his family.

As a key member of The Jackson 5, Tito contributed to the group's success with hits like "I Want You Back" and "ABC." The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Beyond his work with The Jackson 5, Tito launched a solo career, releasing albums such as *Tito Time* (2016) and *Under Your Spell* (2021). He also embraced blues and funk music in his later years, touring with the BB King Blues Band and releasing his final single, "Love One Another," in 2021.
