Vested Groups Trying to Create Unrest: Nahid

Information and Broadcasting Adviser to the interim government, Nahid Islam, stated today that vested interests are attempting to create instability in the country. Responding to journalists in Chhagalnaiya, Feni, while visiting flood-affected areas, Nahid acknowledged efforts to worsen the situation, according to our Feni correspondent.

He emphasized that the country is facing a crisis and urged the public to stay vigilant. Regarding recent unrest in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), Nahid noted that some long-standing issues exist and stressed the importance of resolving these matters internally.

As the ICT Adviser, Nahid clarified that the government has not imposed an internet shutdown in the region. He explained that temporary disruptions occurred in certain areas due to isolated incidents, but the issue had been exaggerated and falsely portrayed as a "complete internet shutdown."
